Taylor Swift [ ] announced she was donating $100,000 to local flood victims during her Friday (8/8) night concert at U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Cedar Rapids suffered millions of dollars in damages two months ago when the Cedar River swelled and submerged the town. Swift reportedly was going to cancel the concert but the city manager asked her to carry on, a source close to the singer told People magazine.

"The people in this townsfolk have been through so much loss this year, and my heart goes out to them," Swift told People. "They've stood by me, they gave me a sold-out express. You've go to pay it forwards in life, and that's what I'm doing here tonight."

Michael Jackson is to celebrate his 50th birthday by cathartic a new album, where fans will choose the tracklisting.
'King Of Pop' testament be released on August 25th and will hoard 18 songs as selected from a list of 50 (the full song list is below).
Fans only have until Sunday August 10th to get their votes in, which can be frame on The Sun and GMTV websites.
The list is a varied one, covering favourites such as 'Billie Jean', 'Off The Wall', 'Bad' and 'Thriller', as well as collaborations like 'The Girl is Mine' and 'Say Say Say' with Paul McCartney, along with 'Scream' featuring sister Janet.

David Mamet's comedy November, in which Nathan Lane played a president vying to stay in the White House, attempted to capitalise on election fever and draw in audiences to New York's Ethel Barrymore Theater. But the curtain will fall on the show on 13 July , just six months after it opened.

Hogan - real name Brooke Bollea - was driving across the Bayside Bridge in Clearwater, Florida, with a friend when her vehicle was involved in a collision with several other cars.
No one has been reported injured after the smash, which is said to have occurred when Bollea's Mercedes hit the back end of another car, according to TMZ.com.
Both Hulk Hogan - real name Terry Bollea - and his estranged wife Linda, rushed to the crash site to tend to their 20-year-old daughter.
And Bollea insists she only escaped unscathed because she fastened her seatbelt - and her brother's horrific car crash last year (07) serves as a constant reminder for her to buckle up.
Nick, 17, is currently serving an eight month jail sentence after pleading no contest to felony reckless driving following the crash in Clearwater, Florida, which left his friend John Graziano critically injured.
Bollea writes on her Myspace internet page, "I truly believe my brother and John saved My life and my best friends life.... I don't know if you heard, but my friend and I got into a really bad car accident today ourselves... As I turned on my car I clicked my seatbelt. I reminded (my friend) to put it on and the minute she clicked it, a car crashed into us. It was a horrible car accident, one that most would be severely hurt in, but we had our seatbelts on and they kept us in tight. I have to thank my brother and my best friend John for teaching me an important lesson that saved our lives."

New U2 movie premieres at Sundance
U2's fresh concert film 'U2 3D' premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT on Sat night.
Oral presentation to the Associated Press before the screening, U2 guitarist The Edge said: "I was truly hoping we weren't bullshit subsequently altogether these eld. Fortunately we weren't."
He was joined at the screening by vocalist Bono, drummer Larry Mullen and bassist Ecstasy Clayton.
Commenting on visual perception himself in 3D on a celluloid screen, Bono said: "It's form of horrific. It's bad sufficiency on a small screen. Now you arrive to see the lard asshole 40-foot tall."
The photographic film, which is the first gear digital 3D, multi-camera, real time production, will be shown at Cineworld, Movies at Dundrum and Movies at Swords - wholly in Capital of Ireland - from 22 Feb. It will too be screened at SGC Dungarvan in Co Waterford.
